As a member of the 7th Executive Committee of the Young Women Leaders Connection (YWLC), I served as Director of Marketing & Communications, leading a team of over 30 member volunteers to empower young women leaders across Singapore. YWLC focuses on four core pillars, nurturing emerging leaders through mentorship programs, leadership initiatives, networking opportunities, and social impact projects.

In this role, I streamlined internal processes, developed and executed strategic marketing initiatives, and crafted thought leadership content that highlighted the achievements of women leaders, organizational milestones, and external partnerships. These efforts contributed to the team receiving the Community Cares Award at the Volunteer and Partner Awards organized by the Ministry of Social and Family Development, recognizing outstanding contributions to social and community causes.

Together with the team, I launched and managed a Telegram channel to foster collaboration and engagement among members and produced a monthly newsletter reaching a large subscriber base, strengthening the organization’s online presence and engagement.

Previously, as the pioneer Deputy Director on the Event Marketing team, I conceptualized and executed campaigns for YWLC’s social media channels, raising awareness of events, mentorship programs, and thought leadership initiatives.

This experience allowed me to develop and refine professional skills directly applicable to corporate contexts, including strategic marketing and communications, team leadership, stakeholder management, content strategy, storytelling, community building, and project management. It strengthened my ability to lead complex initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and cultivate meaningful engagement, skills I now bring to marketing, communications, and community-focused roles.

Founded in 2008 by Singapore’s first female Cabinet Minister, Mrs. Lim Hwee Hua, YWLC operates within the People’s Association network and benefits from the guidance of Minister Grace Fu, serving as its Advisor.
