Good Grounds
2021 - 2024
Co-founder & Chief Marketing Officer

Good Grounds was a sustainability-driven passion project with a mission to upcycle spent coffee grounds into beneficial new products, starting with a natural body scrub. Recognized with the Most Promising Environment & Sustainability Initiative award as part of our participation in the National Youth Council’s Youth Action Challenge, the project combined eco-innovation with personal wellness.
Designed for environmentally conscious consumers, the scrub leveraged the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of coffee grounds, paired with natural ingredients like Moroccan clay and essential oils, to offer a sustainable alternative to conventional skincare.
I led brand storytelling, marketing strategy, and early user engagement, building a community around the idea of sustainability-driven skincare. Collaborations with researchers and manufacturers validated prototypes, while customer discovery interviews shaped the MVP and refined the brand’s positioning.
These efforts allowed me to develop expertise in product development, go-to-market strategy, consumer research, and stakeholder collaboration.
Through Good Grounds, I honed skills in brand strategy, marketing communications, community building, and iterative product design, gaining hands-on experience in translating an idea into a market-ready product.
